Eiichiro Oda – The Developer of One Piece by Patrick
The manga features Monkey D. Luffy, the straw-hat donning boy who attempts to sail the beach to turn into a legendary pirate. Numerous thoughts around the eventual serialization arrived on the scene, like Luffy’s inspiration for becoming a pirate and also the unexplainable power he acquired from feeding on a particular fruit that turned his body into rubber. Some may possibly acknowledge this approach as it relates to One Piece’s concept relating to Devil Fruits.
What’s the Plot?
In the beginning, the Straw Hat Pirates would roam from islands to islands in a straightforward pattern with getting backtracked, forced to go off-course or shattered. It’s not until Water 7 that they were forced to leave Water 7 to Enies Lobby to rescue a crew member and backtracked to Water 7. By the time they reached Sabaody, they were scattered across the Grand Line; with two leaving the Grand Line, with few backtracking.
I began enjoying the One Piece anime 10 years ago, pretty much as the anime commenced. I’ve never missed a show since then.
At that time, animes were still challenging to obtain inside the west, even fansubbed ones. You were considered as a hard-core anime devotee even with as little as ten gigs. And I was an anime hogger. I watched pretty much anything and everything I could get my hands on. Needless to say, One Piece generated my list and it immediately was one of my favorites.
Oddly more than enough, I by no means disliked the art, though enjoying it aren’t the ideal words either. Guess I’m an exception, but when you’ve suffered 10 years of cartoon network and all the crap they put out, One Piece is heaven.
Popular Japanese TV channel, NHK, performed a survey on folks who read Eiichiro Oda’s super-Popular Manga program, One Piece.
88% (rounded to 90%) of grown persons in Japan read the manga normally. The teen demographic has a tendency to not read One Piece or may possibly not care enough to end. Though here in the West, you usually do not see too many teenagers read or talk about One Piece.
Over 630 chapters have been successfully released in the last 14 odd years. And it continues to grow very strongly. The forthcoming chapter, 637, will be released soon and I hope they continue for YEARS to come. It’s probably my favorite manga amongst all that I’ve seen, and probably the most successful in Japan. If its not your cup of tea, give Naruto and Bleach a shot!
