they’re like tech-geeks, always itching to get their hands on theo- most recent gadgets and gizmos for their computers. they’re extremely knowledgeable about computers that they would probably be accepted into microsoft unless having to rap an eyelash. they usually possess theirs hold weblogs and theirs confess websites and might even know how to make their possess games. it’s also very rare to find a pasokon with 20/20 vision. gemu otaku gemu otakus are those who are obsessed with video games of any genre. roleplaying games, mmorpg’s (massively multiplayer online games), movement games, shoot ‘em increase games, platform games, bewilder games, dance revolution, guitar hero, strategy games, racing games, sports games, dating games… you name it, all play it. wota wota are those who are addicted to theirs ‘idols’. they’re addicted to pop icons, pretty pop princesses, boy bands, etc. gunji otaku gunji otaku are those who are obsessed with anything at all related to theo- military such as guns, strategies, tanks, planes and helicopters. there are still tons of other types of otakus, but the main idea here is preoccupation onto a certain hobby or things. that’s pretty much it on the explanation inside the term otaku within a nutshell, hopefully you’ve learned something new about it. the term doujinshi is coined raise by two words, doujin and shi, theo- anterior meaning people who share common interests, and shi meaning magazine. the term was originally used to manga fanzines, hobby magazines and nonprofessional humorous books. it is an attractive fact that usually most popular subculture is cooked increased by someone who seeks profit only, and then is fed to a hungry young crowd of fans. this is not always theo- case inside japan, though. the art is for the art’s sake is how ironic market followers are craving for. yoshishiro yonezawa, a novelist, critic and a passionate supporter of mass manga subculture, came upright with an idea of founding an enterprise, a market which will be open for each theo- non-professional manga artists who form their confess circles called doujinshis to produce manga mimic artwork and magazines (that are called doujinshis, too). the idea became very favorite as comiket, theo- largest jester market in the world, is held inner japan twice a year for three days in a row each time inside winter and in summer. there are more than 35 thousand circles taking part as well as more than half a million attendees. it is a space where freedom of expression is preached upon a large scale, and organizers never dreamed of then large a success of theirs creation. before comiket, young people who studied in high academy or university, took part in humourous markets as amateurs, and ceased to participate after graduation. but inside mid-seventies this changed drastically. it came to be not only a hobby, but a lifetime passion, as many artists got appreciation and followers due to a growing popularity of doujinshi phenomenon. there are more than two thousand doujinshi markets taking allot inside japan each year, and comiket is by far theo- much common one. now the idea have spread far beyond japan as comical markets opened inside taiwan, korea, hong kong, china and even united states. the number of doujinshi circles mushroomed as markets provided great opportunities for a large number of inexperienced artists and mangakas (manga artists).
